Hi!
I have not purchased a wig from Engel Puppen yet, but this summer I attempted to research other companies that sell wigs made from kanekolan (sp?) which is what the AG wigs are made of and Engel Puppen was the only other company I found that advertised that the fibers were kanekolan. I contemplated getting a wig for an extra Gwen HH doll I've got because I'm thinking about making her into either Lindy or Delaney from the series for my DD.
I'm really glad you started this thread and I hope another HBer has purchased from Engel Puppen and can tell us whether the wigs are the same as AG wigs!
Thanks so much for asking the question!

I was wondering if anyone has purchased a wig from Engle Puppen in Germany, what would you recommend for a Samantha doll, color and style.
Do you have any pictures???

I would be interested in seeing them first - the website won't give you pictures of the different styles (at least not with how I was doing it) - is there another website besides the official one with more pictures?

I could only find one wig style on the official website and it's similar to Samantha's. I've never bought any wigs from Engel Puppen but I do have 2 dolls and their wigs are comparable to AG's. I think they would make an excellent substitute. But honestly, I think that some of the wigs from Monique are just as nice and may be cheaper.
ETA: If you don't have any luck finding an Engel Puppen wig www.kemperdolls.com has a perfect replacement wig for Samantha. Search under modacrylic wigs(same as kanekalon) and the name of the wig is Clara.

Yes, I have ordered Engel Puppen wigs straight from Germany! I LOVE LOVE LOVE the Kirsten wigs!!! They are the perfect color and length. (See my album.) The ones I bought for Samantha were a little too long and a little too dark, but they were a beautiful texture, so you may really like them.
I loved the Kirsten ones so much that I ordered a bunch of medium brown ones for Molly, but when they came they looked way too red to be Molly's, and I was very disappointed, so I sent them back, which cost a pretty penny... So, I have been a little nervous to order more for Molly, since I'm just not sure which color.
You are right to look for the Kanekalon wigs. They feel so wonderful--there really is nothing else like them out there! And the Engel brothers who run their company are VERY nice online and easy to deal with. They answer questions very fast.

Deborah, do you have a direct link to the Engel wigs? I cannot find any besides one wig style and color.

Yes, that's the right place to look! Use the drop down menu on the side to choose style, size and color--American Girl dolls need the size 28 cm/11 inches.
